Set Your Availability
TL;DR — Open Schedules from the sidebar to manage when you're free for interview bookings. Click Add Schedule, give it a name and timezone, then open the card to set which days and hours you're available. Use Date Overrides for one-off exceptions. Mark one schedule as your Default — that's the one candidates see when they pick a slot.
Before you start
- Requires: Member role. Schedules are per-user — you manage your own availability, not anyone else's.
- Why it matters: Candidates can only book interview slots during times you've marked available on your default schedule. If no schedule is set as default, or your default has no hours configured, no slots appear for candidates.
Open Schedules
From the sidebar, click Schedules. The page lists all your schedules as cards. Each card shows the schedule name, timezone, and a Default badge on your active schedule.
If you have no schedules yet, the page shows an empty state with an Add Schedule prompt.
Create a schedule
- Click Add Schedule (top right of the page).
- In the dialog, fill in:
- Schedule Name — something descriptive, e.g. Working Hours or Interview Availability.
- Time Zone — the timezone your hours are defined in. Candidates see converted times in their own timezone.
- Set as default schedule — check this to activate the schedule immediately.
- Click Create.
The new schedule card appears on the list. The card menu (⋯) also lets you Edit the name/timezone, Duplicate the schedule (useful for creating a variant), or Delete it.
Configure weekly hours
Click a schedule card to open the detail page.
Each day of the week appears as a row with a toggle:
- Toggle on — the day is available. Set the start and end times using the time inputs.
- Toggle off — the day shows Unavailable and candidates cannot book on that day.
Add a second window on the same day (e.g. to exclude a lunch break): click + on the row to add another start/end pair.
Copy one day's hours to other days:
- Click the Copy icon on the source day.
- Tick the target days, or choose Select All.
- Click Apply — the source day's hours are applied to every selected day.
Click Save at the top right when done.
You can also update the Timezone and toggle Set as Default from the settings bar at the top of the detail page.
Add date overrides
Date overrides let you set different hours on specific dates — without touching your regular weekly schedule.
- On the schedule detail page, click Add Date Override (in the Date Overrides panel on the right).
- In the dialog, pick one or more dates on the calendar. Past dates are disabled.
- On the right side of the dialog:
- Set custom hours for those dates, or
- Toggle Mark unavailable (All day) to block the entire day.
- Click Save Override.
The override appears in the Date Overrides list with the date and either the custom hours or Unavailable. Click the trash icon to remove an override.
Date overrides apply only to the schedule they belong to. If this schedule is not your default, the overrides won't affect what candidates see.
Set as default
Only your default schedule determines which slots candidates can book. You can have multiple schedules (e.g. a regular one and a light-week one), but only one is active at a time.
Two ways to set a default:
- On the detail page — toggle Set as Default in the settings bar and click Save.
- On create — check Set as default schedule in the Create Schedule dialog.
The active schedule shows a Default badge on its card.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Candidates see no available slots | No schedule is set as default, or the default has no hours enabled | Open the Default schedule, enable at least one day with valid times, and save |
| A day I enabled still shows no slots | The time range is invalid (end time before or equal to start time) | Correct the end time to be after the start time on each slot |
| Date override isn't blocking a date | The override wasn't saved, or a different schedule is the active default | Check the Date Overrides list on the schedule and confirm this schedule has the Default badge |
| I deleted a schedule by mistake | Deletion is permanent | Recreate the schedule and reconfigure your hours — there is no undo |
