Saved Filters & Views

Before you start

  • Requires: any signed-in user can save private filters. Sharing with team, candidates, or everyone requires manager or admin role.
  • Saved filters work on list pages that have a filter bar — currently Applications, Campaigns, Candidates, and Contacts.

When to save a filter

A saved filter pays for itself when:

  • You return to the same combination several times a week — "Submitted this week, needs review, MBA campaign".
  • The combination has 3+ filters (status, tag, deadline, manager…) — too many to rebuild each time.
  • A teammate needs to look at exactly the same set you do — share once instead of explaining each filter.

If a filter is one-off, just URL-share it (see below) rather than saving.

Save the current filter

  1. Set up the filters you want — search, status, tags, deadline, etc.
  2. Click the Saved Filters dropdown in the filter bar (folder icon).
  3. Click Save current filter…. A dialog opens.
  4. Enter a name (required, up to 100 characters) — short and specific is best, e.g. "Submitted this week".
  5. Optionally add a description explaining what this view is for.
  6. Pick a share target (see below).
  7. Optionally toggle Set as default to make this view auto-apply on first visit.
  8. Click Save.

A toast confirms and the new filter appears in the Saved Filters dropdown.

Sharing options

The share target controls who else can see and apply the saved filter:

TargetVisible to
Private (default)Only you
TeamAll team members in your organization (admins, managers, members)
CandidatesCandidates only — useful for filters on the candidate-facing campaigns page
EveryoneThe entire organization, team and candidates

Share targets do not change a user's access — a candidate still sees only what they're allowed to see, even when applying a team filter. Sharing only controls visibility of the filter definition itself.

Set a default filter

Toggling Set as default when you save makes the filter apply automatically every time you open the page (until you explicitly clear filters or apply a different saved filter).

  • You can only have one default filter per page.
  • Setting a new default automatically un-sets the previous one.
  • The default applies to you only — even if the filter is shared, only your default flag is yours.
  • To remove the default behavior, open the saved filter and toggle Set as default off.

Apply a saved filter

  1. Open the Saved Filters dropdown.
  2. The list shows your private filters at the top, then any team/everyone filters you have access to.
  3. Click a filter to apply it.

The filter bar updates to reflect the saved combination. The result count and table refresh.

To clear the active filter, click Clear filters in the filter bar — this returns to no-filter mode without affecting your saved filter list.

Every page with filters reflects the active state in the URL — so copying the address bar copies the exact filter view:

  • Hand the URL to a teammate (in chat, email, anywhere).
  • They open it; they see the same filtered list, even if they haven't saved it.

When a saved filter is applied, the URL contains a filterId parameter. When it's a one-off combination, the URL has the individual filter parameters spelled out (e.g. ?status=submitted&tagIds=mba). Both kinds of URL are shareable.

Rename or delete saved filters

  1. Open the Saved Filters dropdown.
  2. Click Manage filters at the bottom. A dialog opens listing every saved filter you can edit.
  3. For each filter you can:
    • Click Edit to change the name, description, default flag, or share target.
    • Click Delete to remove it. A confirmation prompt appears.
  4. You can only edit or delete filters you created. Shared filters from teammates show as read-only.
